Trading Post

The Vendor shop (/vendor). Lv1: buy tools with gold. Lv2: adds consumables (Queue Boost, Rested Potion, Rush Token, Hired Help). Lv3: unlocks the Minister of Treasury role and lets leaders buy Tier-3 luxury goods with city treasury. Lv4: unlocks the Master's Charter — a one-time purchase that raises your personal tool cap to Level 10 and lets you lease any Masterworks for high-volume crafting, for life. Lv5: unlocks Mr. Crane's Invitation (hours on a private hunting reserve, bought with personal gold), the Grandmaster's Charter (raises your tool cap again, to Level 15), and permanent extra slots on your action queue — more hours you can be away, not a faster queue. It also puts a fifth scratch ticket on the counter.

🏭 The Industrial Era. Reaching Level 4 raises your whole city's building ceiling to Level 4 and unleashes a ~100× surge in production — plus the Masterwork, the Master's Charter, and Library Insight. This entry cost is flat: it never scales with population.
💎 Plus 40 units of each of your city's two produced luxury goods — proof you've mastered the luxury layer. Use /build in-game to see which ones your city needs.
🏹 The Leather above proves you've mastered hunting — bank pelts and tan them ahead of time.
📦 The Treasury is an export test: a city actively running the Export Market reaches it in a day or two — one that never exported takes far longer. Turn on your exports early.

🏬 The Age of Commerce. Reaching Level 5 raises your whole city's building ceiling to Level 5 and unlocks the Chamber of Commerce — zoning land for shops, merchants opening businesses in your city, and a tax on every sale they make. See the Commerce guide. Like Level 4, this entry cost is flat: it never scales with population.
💎 Plus 3 units of each luxury good your city does not produce — for most cities that is 8 of the 10, so 24 units in all. The gate inverts here: Level 4 asked you to prove you run your own luxury industry; Level 5 asks you to prove you can trade for everything else — which is the entry test for a tier whose whole content is a marketplace. Use /build in-game to see exactly what your city needs.
