Team city-building on Telegram
Quick answers to the questions players ask most.
Everything in UrbanPact runs on an hourly game tick. Once an hour your wages are paid, your action queue advances one step, build projects and trades move forward, and you get a summary in the bot. You don't need to be online for any of it — it's an idle game, so it keeps running while you're away. See the Start Here guide.
Your wages land every hour at the tick, straight into your personal Gold 💰. How much depends on your city's prosperity, your role there, and any prestige or wage bonuses you've earned. If you just did something that should pay out, expect it on the next hourly tick — not the instant you do it.
They're two separate currencies. Gold 💰 is yours personally — your wages, and what you spend on tools, your Estate, and premium visits. Treasury 💸 belongs to your city — it's produced by the Town Hall and spent on city-level things like imports and exports. You can't spend the city's Treasury as personal Gold, or the other way around.
Level 4 is the current ceiling — the Industrial Era. A Level 5 era is designed but not built yet, so any badge that asks for a Level-5 building is simply waiting on content that hasn't arrived. It's not broken.
Some raw materials are produced faster than anything uses them — that's normal. What to craft, trade away, or sell is your city's call, and managing those surpluses (and the shortages of the busy materials) is part of the game. The Export Market lets a city turn surplus into Treasury.
A premium-building visit buys you a share of that landmark's prestige and reputation, and the Gold you spend goes to the citizens of the city you're visiting. Visiting widely — and being visited — is also how you climb toward becoming a Tycoon. See premium buildings.
Not yet — a visitor log or guestbook is an idea we're exploring, but it isn't a feature today. For now, your hourly report calls out visits to your landmarks in the tick they happen.
The tiers run Settler → Citizen → Developer → Entrepreneur → Tycoon, and each unlocks once you've earned enough reputation and Gold (a couple of the higher tiers also want a completed trade route or an Estate tier). Your Profile shows how close you are, and you never lose a tier once you've earned it. See tier progression.
Your tier decides it — from 6 hours of queued actions as a Settler up to 10 hours as a Tycoon. A Queue Boost consumable can stretch it a little further for a while.
Send /changelog in the bot for the last week of updates as plain text (/changelog 30 for a wider window), or read the full styled history on the website changelog. The website Activity Feed also updates live as things happen.
You can also get these in the bot: send /faq for the list, or /faq wages (any keyword) to pull one answer straight into your chat.
