In Skillzville, meanwhile, the story was less marble and more mortar. A Bank, a Trading Post and a Hunter's Lodge all reached Level 2 in a single day, and ground was broken on a Quarry before the dust settled. Its founder had a day to remember: bradskillz rose to Entrepreneur — the realm's signal that a player has stopped merely gathering and started trading — and, as if the ledgers themselves approved, pulled four winning scratch tickets worth 441, 438, 260 and 260 gold. The only tier promotion of the day, and it came with confetti.

But prestige told a different tale: XM Nexus drew six landmark visits and 154 prestige — the most in the realm — proving that the city that scores the most and the city that draws the most admirers need not be the same. Eighteen souls, ten cities, ten Tycoons, and four wanderers still out in the wilderness, watching the towers go up from a distance.
