Three Streets and a Silversmith

Skillzville laid three new neighborhoods, zoned two shopfronts and took Boomtown Gold — all inside one day.

Skillzville spent the day laying streets. Archstone Rise went in at the grand tier with eight families already through the door; Ivy Bloom Rise opened at the merchant tier with sixteen; Crossroads Rise took thirty cottage families straight off the waiting list. In the same day the town broke ground on a Textile Mill and a Chamber of Commerce and finished both — the mill to Level 5, the Chamber to Level 3 — and zoned two fresh commercial plots behind them. Boomtown went to Gold, the only city medal anywhere in the realm today.

The new shopfronts did not stand empty for long. Jörg took one with a Confectioner, PlasmaEddie put up a Silversmith, and Jensen DisasterCthulhu Ԙ: ⚔️🏹 opened a Confectioner of his own. bradskillz was working a wider map entirely — a Grocer in Smurftopia, a Grocer in Crimson's City, a Grocer in SpudVille, a Grocer in 🏗 Build, one town after another. Trade was brisk enough to hurt: grocers ran their shelves bare in Buzz Hollow 🏘️, Smurftopia, SpudVille and XM Nexus, and SpudVille's Apothecary went with them. Supply Runs all round.

Then there was the purse. PlasmaEddie put 175,000 gold into a single estate upgrade — more, on its own, than every shop in the realm took across the whole day, and more than every wage the realm paid. David (davesnothere) AZ-USA spent 45,000 on his own estate, laid in rush tokens, hunting parties, hired help and queue boosts, and bought a painting for the wall.

David had the luck to match the spending: five scratch tickets came in over two hundred gold apiece, the best of them 1,221. He also took High Roller to Silver and Trapper to Gold. Two Diamonds landed elsewhere — Tyler's Renown and Jörg's Cornerstone, with Line Caller reaching Platinum for Jörg besides. Seven tool masteries were earned across six pairs of hands.

Wierdoton kept its own hammers swinging, opening a Silk Exchange and a Spice Market Bazaar and breaking ground on its Town Hall. SpudVille drew the heaviest prestige of the day from twenty landmark visits, while 🏗 Build held the top of the City Score at 941. In the wilderness bradskillz met a Mountain Lion at 128 lbs — the realm's only first meeting today. The roads, for their part, carried exactly the tonnage they carried yesterday, to the unit. And for all Skillzville's new streets, better than thirty thousand families still stand on SpudVille's list, and as many again on XM Nexus's, waiting for somewhere to live.

🏘 Skillzville founded Archstone Rise, Ivy Bloom Rise and Crossroads Rise in a single day — thirty families moved straight into Crossroads

A Run on the Vendor

The vendor took nearly 98,500 gold off the realm today — more than every shop till combined — while Wierdoton opened three marvels at once.

It was a day for spending. The vendor's counter took a shade over 98,500 gold across thirty-six purchases — more than the realm's shops took in over 4,411 sales, and more than every wage packet paid out this past day put together. Money has been flowing toward players for weeks. Today it flowed the other way.

The heaviest hand belonged to Jensen DisasterCthulhu Ԙ: ⚔️🏹, whose largest single purchase came to 8,075 gold in one go — and the top of the day's ledger is mostly his name over and over. ʂɧąŋɛ (Ɩąʂ ۷ɛɠąʂ) 🇺🇸 and AMKS each made trips of their own well past six thousand. Two players came away from the day with a new level of tool mastery.

At the Trading Post the shopping was smaller and far more deliberate. David (davesnothere) AZ-USA laid in rush tokens, hunting parties, hired help and a queue boost — a man clearly planning something — and took Line Caller to Silver, the only medal earned anywhere in the realm today. Jörg bought a single item and made it count: Mr. Crane's Invitation, 2,000 gold.

Wierdoton has spent four days as a building site, and today the scaffolding came down on the good part. A Glassblower's Studio, a Jade Garden and a Powder Hall opened their doors — and so did the Grand Theatre, the Marble Bathhouse and the Imperial Gallery, the three grandest houses on the visitor ladder, all in one day. Ground was broken on a Silk Exchange before the day was out. Thirty visitors came through, more than any other city drew, and tycoons carried jade and glass in behind them: PlasmaEddie with jade, GrumpyGecko and bradskillz with glass, arriving to stock the very buildings that had just opened.

Elsewhere, Buzz Hollow 🏘️ laid out Ridgestone Rise and Coopersmith Rise — grand streets, both with eight families already moved in — while SpudVille and XM Nexus each hold standing waiting lists past twenty-nine thousand families with nowhere yet to put them. ʂɧąŋɛ (Ɩąʂ ۷ɛɠąʂ) 🇺🇸 opened a Grocer in Skillzville. Smurftopia closed the day on top of the City Score board with 822, Wierdoton second on 528. The roads, for their part, carried 5,675 units over 104 routes — exactly what they carried yesterday, to the unit.

Wierdoton Builds Itself a Tavern

Wierdoton finished a Tavern, a Jeweller's Showcase and a Dyehouse Gallery in one day — and David swept every medal the realm handed out.

For four days Wierdoton has been a work town — sawmills, clay pits, coal shafts, the honest and unlovely business of getting a settlement onto its feet. Today it went shopping. The Market, the Trading Post, the Mine, the Quarry and the Textile Mill all reached Level 3, and then, in the same day, the town opened a Powder Mill, a Customs House, a Dye House, a Tavern, a Jeweller's Showcase and a Dyehouse Gallery.

The Dye House took two attempts — laid down, abandoned, laid down again, and finished. By the time the dust settled the yard had broken fresh ground on a dozen more projects, a Glassblower's Studio among them, and Wierdoton sat third on the day's City Score board at 436, behind 🏗 Build and Smurftopia. A town with a tavern and a jeweller is no longer a camp.

Elsewhere, David (davesnothere) AZ-USA had the kind of day that ends with a shelf of ribbons. Every one of the five player medals the realm awarded today went to him — Renown and Hauler both to Gold, Connoisseur and Ranger to Silver, and Ambassador to Bronze — and he spent the afternoon at the Trading Post stocking hired help, hunting parties and rush tokens as though he had somewhere to be.

Business was brisk enough to empty shelves. In Buzz Hollow 🏘️ the Apothecary, the Grocer and the Tailor all sold down to nothing and now wait on a Supply Run, with Tailors in XM Nexus and 🏗 Build in the same bare state. SpudVille pulled luxury order after luxury order in from across the realm — glass, jade, spices and tapestry, carried by Buzzaroo, PlasmaEddie, bradskillz, Jörg, AMKS, GrumpyGecko and Karen — and took the day's biggest prestige surge on the strength of its visitors. Shop takings led the realm's earnings past 94,000 gold, while the roads themselves ran precisely as they ran yesterday: same routes, same tonnage, not a wagon out of place.

The wilderness, after a week of strangers, was almost quiet. The realm had exactly one first meeting all day — bradskillz and a Kodiak Bear at 218 lbs. Six trophies moved, and curiously every one of them stopped at the same weight: Karen, CrimTest1 and on Elder Ice Bears, PlasmaEddie on an Ice Bear, Jensen DisasterCthulhu Ԙ: ⚔️🏹 and Jörg on Great Aurochs, all at 242 lbs. And Tyler, who did no hunting at all, scratched a diamond vault worth 7,543 gold and then kept scratching.

Four Days, Three Tiers

Four days after making Citizen, LordTrolldemort is an Entrepreneur — and Wierdoton hammered seven buildings up to Level 3.

Four days ago LordTrolldemort had only just made Citizen, wilderness dust barely off the boots. Today they are an Entrepreneur — the third tier climbed in that span, and nobody else in the realm had a day anywhere near it. Nine player medals were earned across every city put together, and LordTrolldemort's name is on Master Craftsman, Cornerstone, High Roller, Fortune at Gold, Renown at Silver, and — inevitably — Entrepreneur. Somewhere in among all that they also filled a bingo card corner to corner for the first time and took First Blackout.

Where LordTrolldemort spent the day climbing, Wierdoton spent it hammering. Its Bank, Library, Hunter's Lodge, Clay Pit, Sawmill, Coal Shaft and Farm all reached Level 3, with the Library and the Sawmill each climbing two levels inside the same day — and the scaffolding went straight back up, a Market among the new projects. It sits third on today's City Score behind 🏗 Build and Crimson's City. Elsewhere the workbenches were busy too: eleven tool levels across eight players, and a Sawmill in Skillzville finished at Level 5.

The commercial ground kept filling. In Skillzville, Karen took a Grocer, Jörg a Tailor, AMKS both a Grocer and a Tailor, and PlasmaEddie a Tailor of their own; bradskillz opened a Horologist in SpudVille and a Victualler in XM Nexus. Buzz Hollow 🏘️ took Commerce all the way to Platinum — the only city medal anyone earned today — and then its Chandler sold clean out, shelves bare and waiting on a Supply Run. Shop counters were the realm's single biggest source of gold, a shade over 95,000.

Out past the fences it was a quiet day, and better for it. The realm had three first meetings in all, and David (davesnothere) AZ-USA had two of them — a Roe Deer at 24 lbs and a Muntjac at 22. Small animals, but new pages in the passport, and they carried Naturalist to Bronze and Trapper to Silver. bradskillz had the third and much the heaviest: a Brown Bear at 207 lbs. David rounded the day off by scratching a ticket for 233 gold.

And the small things: Buzzaroo shook 2,797 gold out of the prize crates and now has a trophy unicorn standing on their estate. Blackouts turned up on card after card, with six cheers passed around for them. Spices were what the Tycoons were hauling — GrumpyGecko, Jörg, bradskillz and ʂɧąŋɛ (Ɩąʂ ۷ɛɠąʂ) 🇺🇸 all running crates of them into Davetopia, Skillzville and SpudVille — while in SpudVille and XM Nexus more than 27,000 cottage families each are still waiting on a door.

A Grocer, a Tailor, and a Town That Finished

Skillzville zoned its first commercial ground and had three counters trading on it by evening — while Wierdoton finished its yard.

Yesterday Skillzville had a Chamber of Commerce staked out on bare ground. Today the Chamber stands at Level 2, two commercial plots are zoned, and there are already merchants behind the counters: a Grocer under GrumpyGecko, a Tailor under Buzzaroo, and a second Grocer under Jensen DisasterCthulhu Ԙ: ⚔️🏹. A town does not often go from foundation to shopfront in a single day. It found room for neighbors while it was at it — Clovermarket Quarter for sixteen merchant families, Millrace Villas for eight, both already lived in.

Out at Wierdoton, the Coal Shaft that stood open at last report finally closed — and then the town simply kept going. It broke ground on a Market, a Quarry, a Textile Mill, a Clay Pit and a Farm, and finished every one of them to Level 2 before the day was out. Everything it started today, it also ended today.

bradskillz spent the day in the long grass. A Black Bear, a Caribou, a Moose and an Elk — every one of them a first meeting, and all four of the realm's first meetings today were theirs. Three of the day's five medals followed: Naturalist to Platinum, Big Game to Diamond, and Leased Genius besides. The other two belong to David (davesnothere) AZ-USA, who took Ranger and Trapper at Bronze — the first two rungs of a hunter's ladder. Invitations to Mr. Crane's Reserve moved over the counter as well, to Tyler, Buzzaroo, PlasmaEddie and Jensen.

Elsewhere the shelves did the talking. GrumpyGecko opened a Confectioner in town after town, and by evening the Grocers of SpudVille, XM Nexus and 🏗 Build had sold down to bare wood, with Crimson's City's Tailor beside them — all of them waiting on a Supply Run. Shop takings were the largest single thing to happen to the realm's purse today, a little over 93,000 gold, just ahead of a full day of wages. Some of it went straight back out again: Jensen DisasterCthulhu Ԙ: ⚔️🏹 and ʂɧąŋɛ (Ɩąʂ ۷ɛɠąʂ) 🇺🇸 between them paid down most of the realm's outstanding notes.

In XM Nexus the streets came before the people — villas, merchant quarters and cottage rows surveyed and named, every one of them still empty, while the town pulled more landmark visitors than anywhere else in the realm. And out in the hunting grounds, a curious symmetry: every personal best that moved today stopped on the same number, 242 pounds, for Karen, CrimTest1, PlasmaEddie, Jensen, Jörg and alike. 🏗 Build holds the day's standings on 663.

The routes ran their usual tonnage, the way they have all week.

A Sawmill in Wierdoton, a Chamber in Skillzville

Wierdoton's building yard never stopped, Skillzville opened a Chamber of Commerce, and three hunters met fourteen strangers in the wild.

There was sawdust in Wierdoton from one end of the day to the other. The youngest yard in the realm staked out a Sawmill, a Mine and a Textile Mill and had all three standing before dark, then put a second level on both its Hunter's Lodge and its Bank for good measure. Every project it broke ground on came in the same day but one — the Coal Shaft, still open ground, still waiting.

Two towns over, Skillzville was building at the other end of the same road. After a week of finishing things at Level 5 — the Trading Post, the Quarry, the Library, the Market — it laid out a Chamber of Commerce, the building that decides how many kinds of shop a town may keep. Wierdoton is learning to cut timber; Skillzville is deciding who gets a storefront. Both counted as a good day's work.

The wilderness had its best day in a while. The last few Heralds counted the realm's first meetings in ones and twos and fives; today there were fourteen, across fourteen different species, and only three hunters between them. bradskillz met six — a Musk Ox, a Grey Wolf, a Wild Boar, a Bighorn Sheep, an Ibex — and LordTrolldemort matched him six for six with an Arctic Fox, a Wolverine, a Snow Bison and a Caribou Bull among them. David (davesnothere) AZ-USA took two more. Ten player medals came out of the day: Big Game to Obsidian for LordTrolldemort, to Platinum for bradskillz, Hauler to Obsidian for Jensen DisasterCthulhu Ԙ: ⚔️🏹, and Appointed for both AMKS and Tyler, who took up offices in their cities.

XM Nexus spent the day laying out streets — cottage lanes at Thornoak and Stoneridge and Archgate, merchant frontage on Barley and Tidemark, and Milepost Close for the grand houses — and was the realm's favorite destination besides, drawing 706 prestige from twenty-nine visits. Smurftopia did much the same, opening Ivy Orchard Lane and Cloverfield Nook, Millstream Gardens and Birchwood Villas, though its Grocer and its Tailor both traded clean down to bare shelves by evening and will want a Supply Run. Outside SpudVille, meanwhile, better than twenty-six thousand cottage families are still standing in the road with nowhere yet to go.

In the counting house it was a day for settling up: over a hundred thousand gold of borrowing cleared across the realm, most of it ʂɧąŋɛ (Ɩąʂ ۷ɛɠąʂ) 🇺🇸, who paid down 92,736 against his notes and then walked back out with a fresh 30,000 advance. The wagons ran their usual circuit, to the unit — the roads are a fixture now, not a story. On today's City Score, 🏗 Build leads on 642 with Crimson's City on 469 and Buzz Hollow 🏘️ on 351.

Two Charters and Five Strangers

bradskillz spent 100,000 gold on both Charters, then met five species he had never seen — while Skillzville took a Silver Boomtown.

Somebody in Skillzville decided today was the day. bradskillz bought a Master's Charter for fifty thousand gold — and then bought the Grandmaster's Charter too, for fifty thousand more. A hundred thousand gold, and not one tool level to show for it: a Charter hands over no mastery, only the room to go and earn it. The realm marked the moment anyway and named him Licensed Master.

Then he went hunting. Five species stepped into his Wildlife Passport for the first and only time — a Red Stag, a Boar Piglet, a Wild Goat, a Mouflon and a Lynx — and they were the realm's only first meetings all day. Naturalist climbed to Gold, Big Game to Gold beside it, and a scratch ticket turned up a diamond vault worth 5,500 gold on top. Of the realm's ten player medals today, a good handful had his name on them. Nineteen tool levels were earned across six players besides — the realm has been sharpening all week.

His city kept pace. Skillzville finished its Trading Post at Level 5, staked out its Quarry and finished that at Level 5 too, and opened a new cottage row — Foxglove Close, thirty families under a roof. For the growing neighborhood the city collected the day's only city medal: Boomtown, in Silver.

Further down the ladder, Wierdoton had the quieter landmark, and possibly the better one. Its Town Hall reached Level 3 — the rung that opens the guild floor — and rather than sit with it, the city broke ground on a Craftworks and had the doors open before the day was out. And LordTrolldemort, who came off the wilderness road only yesterday and made Citizen the same afternoon, made Developer today, picking up Trapper in Bronze and Fortune in Silver on the way past. Two rungs in two days.

Elsewhere: AMKS spent 175,000 gold on a single estate upgrade — the largest movement of coin anywhere in the realm today — and set a trophy unicorn on the lawn, one of three mythical beasts delivered to estates alongside Jensen DisasterCthulhu Ԙ: ⚔️🏹's basilisk and Buzzaroo's chimera. SpudVille drew the most callers, 693 prestige from thirty-two visits, with the Tycoons keeping its shelves in jade, glass, tapestry and spices. Smurftopia's Chandler sold its last candle and stands bare. At the bingo tables it was blackout after blackout, PlasmaEddie and Tyler both named Legend in the process. And 🏗 Build held the top of the board on 956, with Smurftopia close behind on 903.

From the Long Grass to Citizen

LordTrolldemort walked in off the wilderness road and was a Citizen before the day was out.

Some players take a season to find their footing. LordTrolldemort took a day. He came in off the wilderness road, spent his first coin at the Trading Post on a bow, a pickaxe and a workbench, and set about earning everything at once — Off the Grid, then First Gather, then Full Queue, Equipped, Artisan, Trade Route, Appointed. By the time the day closed he had been named Civilized and stood on the Citizens' register. The realm earned twenty-four medals today, and a striking share of them hang on one very new coat — over which, fittingly, he threw a community cape.

He hunted, too. The only two animals the realm met for the first time today were both his: a Desert Coyote at forty-one pounds, and a Ringtail at thirty-three. Two new pages in a passport that was blank yesterday. Elsewhere GrumpyGecko took Headhunter in Bronze, and ʂɧąŋɛ (Ɩąʂ ۷ɛɠąʂ) 🇺🇸 and Jörg both reached Diamond on Fortune.

At the other end of the ladder, the purses opened wide. Some 875,000 gold left personal hands for estate upgrades — 350,000 apiece from Buzzaroo and Jörg, another 175,000 from ʂɧąŋɛ (Ɩąʂ ۷ɛɠąʂ) 🇺🇸 — and a good deal of it was borrowed first, with Jörg drawing 113,000 and 50,000 on notes and ʂɧąŋɛ another 100,000. The proceeds are on display: a chimera on one estate, a phoenix on GrumpyGecko's, a wyvern at Jensen DisasterCthulhu Ԙ: ⚔️🏹's, and sage paint and a cactus at David (davesnothere) AZ-USA's.

Jensen spent the day in trade rather than decor, opening a Bookseller in six cities — SpudVille, Buzz Hollow 🏘️, XM Nexus, 🏗 Build, Crimson's City and Smurftopia. That makes three days running that a single merchant has papered the realm with one trade: Tailors, then Chandlers, now books. Shop counters across the realm paid out better than 86,000 gold today.

Davetopia broke ground on two neighborhoods at once — Copperkettle Lane for sixteen merchant families, Archstone Close for eight in the villas — and took Boomtown in Silver for the trouble. Smurftopia was named a Metropolis, XM Nexus reached Diamond on Commerce, and Skillzville staked out a Mine and finished it at Level 5 before the day was through, extending a building run that has not paused all week. On the board, 🏗 Build pushed past a thousand on 1,025, with Smurftopia climbing hard into second on 906; SpudVille drew the most visitors, 568 prestige from twenty-five of them.

A Chandler in Every Town

Candle-makers opened under one name in city after city — and by evening three of the realm's chandlers stood bare.

It was a day for wax, rope and lamp oil. ʂɧąŋɛ (Ɩąʂ ۷ɛɠąʂ) 🇺🇸 opened a Chandler's counter across the realm — 🏗 Build, XM Nexus, Crimson's City, Buzz Hollow 🏘️, Smurftopia and SpudVille each woke to a new candle-maker behind a new counter. One trade, one name, six towns, one day.

The shelves answered quickly. By evening the Chandlers of SpudVille, XM Nexus and 🏗 Build had sold down to the last unit, and they were not alone — 🏗 Build's Tailor and Smurftopia's Bookseller were bare too, all of them waiting on a Supply Run. Across the realm the shop counters returned more gold than any other trade today: better than eighty-five thousand, gathered a few coins at a time over thousands of small sales.

Meanwhile Skillzville kept doing the thing that has become its habit. The Library it staked out yesterday topped out at Level 5. Then it broke ground on a Market — and had that finished at Level 5 too before the day was done. A young city that seems to have decided it will not build anything twice.

Out past the roads, LordTrolldemort collected Packed and Ready, First Expedition and Roughing It in a single day, three medals that read in order like the story of somebody's first night under canvas. bradskillz met a Badger — thirty-eight pounds, and once again the realm's only first meeting of the day. Seven medals were earned in all: Renown at Diamond for both Jensen DisasterCthulhu Ԙ: ⚔️🏹 and PlasmaEddie, Headhunter Bronze for ʂɧąŋɛ (Ɩąʂ ۷ɛɠąʂ) 🇺🇸, and GrumpyGecko Appointed. And for a second day running, every personal best that moved stopped at exactly 242 pounds.

Elsewhere: invitations to Mr. Crane's Reserve were bought by GrumpyGecko, AMKS, ʂɧąŋɛ (Ɩąʂ ۷ɛɠąʂ) 🇺🇸, Jörg and PlasmaEddie, all on the same day. SpudVille took delivery from tycoon after tycoon — gunpowder, glass, tapestry, spices, fine wine and jade, all in one afternoon. David (davesnothere) AZ-USA spent five thousand gold on an estate companion and named the dog Paisley. And on the board, 🏗 Build held the front on 955 while Davetopia climbed into second on 530, a dozen ahead of Crimson's City.

Every Scale Read 242

Every trophy that moved today weighed 242 pounds — and Skillzville raised a Lodge to Level 5 before breaking ground on a Library.

Trophy shelves shifted out in the wilderness today. Karen, CrimTest1 and each came back with an Elder Ice Bear; PlasmaEddie with an Ice Bear; Jensen DisasterCthulhu Ԙ: ⚔️🏹 and Jörg with Great Aurochs. And every last one of those new personal bests settled on the same number — 242 pounds. Different hunters, different beasts, one reading on the scale.

Skillzville had the only busy building yard in the realm. It staked out a Hunter's Lodge and — as it did with its Clay Pit earlier in the week — had the thing finished at Level 5 before the day was out, then turned around and broke ground on a Library. The caravans seemed to approve: Jörg ran ten units of spices in through the gate, with Jensen DisasterCthulhu Ԙ: ⚔️🏹 and ʂɧąŋɛ (Ɩąʂ ۷ɛɠąʂ) 🇺🇸 following behind him. Its lodge parties brought home a 218-pounder for good measure.

bradskillz had the kind of day that never troubles the standings. He met a Wild Turkey — twenty-seven pounds, and the only first meeting anywhere in the realm today — and then went home and spent 19,500 gold furnishing the place: a mirror, a cactus, and a stand of bamboo.

In the counting house, Jensen DisasterCthulhu Ԙ: ⚔️🏹 cleared 26,250 gold of borrowing — the largest single movement of coin all day, and the rarer kind that goes out. The shop tills more than made up for it, taking in over eighty-five thousand between them. Nineteen tool levels went to eight players, more sharpening than either of the two days before it. The bingo cards came up blackout again and again: Buzzaroo took High Roller in Platinum, David (davesnothere) AZ-USA added Fortune in Gold and Cornerstone in Silver — the realm's three medals for the day — and Jörg turned a 250-gold scratch ticket into 390.

🏗 Build still sits well clear at the top of the board on 654. Second place changed hands again, though: SpudVille on 380, with Crimson's City a few points back on 373, then Davetopia and XM Nexus. SpudVille was also the realm's favorite destination, drawing 716 prestige across thirty visits — all those callers at the gate, and 22,356 families still waiting on a cottage inside it.
